Ghanaian rapper E.L has addressed his perceived relaxed approach to his music career in a recent interview on Daybreak Hitz. The artist acknowledged that he has been complacent and comfortable in his “comfort zone.”

During the discussion on Ghana’s creative industry, E.L. expressed his views on the need for greater assertiveness within the country. He stated, “We need to be more angry in this country about things that we deserve, we need to voice out more to the powers that be to keep them on their toes.”

The rapper further emphasized the importance of proactivity and passion in achieving change. “I think if we want anything in this country to work, we need to be more proactive, we need to be more passionate about the things that we want,” he said.

E.L. also highlighted the ongoing issues with royalty collection at GHAMRO, proposing improved structures to monitor digital platform plays to address artists’ complaints. “For us to make our voices heard we need to start coming together, unifying and not being as standoffish as we can get,” he added.

Currently, E.L. is promoting his latest EP, BAR 7. The project includes collaborations with artists such as Ara the Jay, Samini, Lyrical Joe, Jean Feier, Kev the Topic, Nana Grenade, Kobi Onyame, and Tradey.
