The revised curfew hours will be from 10:00 pm to 4:00 am, beginning Tuesday, August 13, 2024.
The government urges Chiefs, Elders, Opinion Leaders, Youth, and residents to remain calm amid ongoing challenges and to engage in peaceful, non-violent methods to promote stability.
Additionally, there is a strict prohibition on carrying any arms, ammunition, or offensive weapons within the affected areas. Individuals found in possession of such items will face arrest and prosecution, according to a statement from the Interior Ministry issued on August 13.
