Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, the Member of Parliament for North Tongu, has launched an ambitious campaign dubbed “Operation 94% Vote for John Dramani Mahama” ahead of the 2024 general elections. The campaign aims to secure 94% of the total valid votes in the constituency for John Mahama and himself.
In a meeting with his Constituency Executives, Ablakwa urged them to work tirelessly to achieve the target, emphasizing the need for a one-touch victory for the NDC. He reminded them of the party’s promise to implement a 24-hour economy policy, which requires a decisive win.
Ablakwa’s optimism is rooted in the constituency’s voting history, where John Mahama secured 90.06% of the total valid votes in the 2020 election. Similarly, Ablakwa retained his seat with 89.71% of the total valid votes cast in the same election.
With the Volta Regional Campaign of John Mahama scheduled to take place from Tuesday to Friday, Ablakwa’s constituents are eager to welcome the presidential candidate. Hundreds of NDC supporters, including Volta Regional Executives led by Chairman Mawutor Agbavitor, gathered at Juapong to show their support for the campaign.
Ablakwa’s commitment to achieving the 94% target is evident, and he is confident that with the support of his people, the goal is attainable. The success of “Operation 94% Vote for John Dramani Mahama” would be a significant boost to the NDC’s chances of winning the 2024 elections.
