The National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama, has embarked on a 4-day campaign tour of the Volta Region, starting from Tuesday, August 13 to Friday, August 16, 2024. This strategic visit is part of Mahama’s commitment to engage directly with Ghanaians and outline his vision to rebuild the country ahead of the December 7th General Elections.
During his visit, Mahama will tour all 18 constituencies in the region, interacting with grassroots supporters, engaging in door-to-door conversations, and holding market-to-market and lorry station-to-lorry station chats. He will also mobilize communities and climax the tour with rallies, demonstrating his hands-on approach to understanding the challenges faced by ordinary Ghanaians.
According to a statement issued by the Regional Secretary, James Gunu, Mahama’s approach reflects his deep understanding of the need to engage with Ghanaians in his quest to “reset Ghana” and bring it back on the path of decency and economic development. While in the region, Mahama will share his game-changer ’24-hour economic policy’, the ‘$10billion BigPush’ infrastructural development agenda, and other pro-poor policies designed to create sustainable jobs for the youth.
Mahama’s transformational agenda is rooted in fairness, inclusivity, and prosperity for all, aiming to rebuild trust in governance, restore dignity in leadership, and deliver on the promise of a better Ghana. The Regional executives have called on all members, supporters, and well-meaning Ghanaians to come out in their numbers to meet Mahama on his “rescue mission” to the Volta Region.
