Mahama Appeals to Youth: “Your Vote is a Sacred Trust”

John Dramani Mahama, the presidential candidate for the National Democratic Congress, has criticized the Akufo-Addo administration for making it increasingly difficult for young entrepreneurs to thrive.

He pointed out that opportunities that were once abundant are now scarce, leaving many young Ghanaians facing daily uncertainty due to the current economic downturn.

During the Youth Manifesto launch in Accra on August 12, Mahama expressed concern that the situation has worsened for most young people, while a small number have been misusing the nation’s resources.

He vowed to restore hope and create a more promising future if elected President in the December 7 general elections.

Mahama emphasized his dedication, stating, “Your vote and support are a commitment I am making to you, as I have a responsibility to both God and you.”

He pledged to address the misuse of public resources by the current administration and to recover any misappropriated funds.

Reflecting on Ghana’s resilience throughout its history, Mahama underscored the critical nature of this election for the country’s future.

He promised to reset the nation to benefit everyone, particularly young people, and to restore confidence in the government.

“I believe in your potential and am committed to unlocking it. We need to create more opportunities, and as your President, I will dedicate the next four years to ensuring our country works for all, especially our youth. This election is crucial. We need leaders who understand your challenges and share your aspirations, who will restore faith in our government and revive our national pride. I am excited to make this commitment alongside Professor Naana Opoku-Agyemang, Ghana’s prospective first female Vice President. Please vote and trust in our vision for a brighter future.”
