John Mahama, the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has urged for a more systematic approach to managing the migration of local professionals.
Speaking at the party’s town hall meeting in Accra, Mahama acknowledged the benefits of migration but criticized the current unstructured process, which he believes is inadequate.
Mahama proposed that the government should establish organized frameworks for international labor exchange, particularly with countries needing short-term workers.
He argued that such a structured system would not only facilitate a more effective transfer of skills but also ensure that Ghanaians return with enhanced expertise and experience.
