Renowned Ghanaian gospel artist Piesie Esther has shared her thoughts on the intersection of fashion and faith, revealing that she sometimes feels uncomfortable with her outfit choices despite her commitment to presenting herself in a way that honors God.

In an interview on Accra FM, Piesie Esther acknowledged the importance of looking presentable and fashionable, but admitted that there have been times when she has felt uneasy about her clothing choices. “God appreciates beauty, and it’s essential for believers to look their best,” she emphasized.

However, the singer confessed that in the rush to prepare for events, she sometimes selects outfits without proper consideration, only to realize her discomfort when she arrives at the venue. “My conscience judges me, and I think about the perception my audience has created in their minds,” she revealed.

Piesie Esther also addressed recent criticisms from Prophet Oduro, who claimed that some gospel musicians have lost touch with their spiritual roots by competing with worldly fashion trends. She defended the use of makeup, eyelashes, and wigs, stating that these are merely tools for enhancing one’s appearance and do not conflict with religious values.

“God does not oppose it. It is good to look flashy, but don’t overdo it,” she advised, emphasizing the importance of balance in one’s fashion choices.
