Regarding filing fees, Dr. Quaicoe stated that presidential aspirants should be able to pay or mobilize funds from supporters. The EC recently announced nomination fees for the upcoming presidential and parliamentary elections.
Male presidential candidates must pay GH¢100,000, while female candidates and persons with disabilities will pay GH¢75,000. The payment should be made by banker’s draft addressed to the EC Chairperson when submitting nomination forms.
