Prof. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, the running mate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has emphasized the need for a change in leadership to address Ghana’s current economic challenges. Addressing NDC supporters at Twifo Praso in the Central Region, Opoku-Agyemang stressed that the country cannot continue on its downward spiral under the current government.

She criticized the government for plunging Ghana into an economic quagmire, leaving citizens with no hope for a better future. Opoku-Agyemang argued that the country requires a leader with the right experience and vision to lead it out of its current difficulties.

She presented John Dramani Mahama, the NDC flagbearer, as the ideal candidate to salvage Ghana from its economic hardship. Opoku-Agyemang highlighted Mahama’s previous experience as a leader, emphasizing his ability to implement policies that benefit Ghanaians.

She mentioned several policy proposals by Mahama, including the 24-Hour Economy, Women Development Bank, National Apprenticeship program, and the Big Push. Opoku-Agyemang praised Mahama’s commitment to the welfare of Ghanaians, particularly women, and his willingness to implement policies that cushion citizens from economic hardship.

She appealed to the electorate to vote massively for the NDC in the upcoming December 7 general elections to bring about the needed change. Opoku-Agyemang expressed confidence in Mahama’s leadership, stating that he has a good heart and respect for all Ghanaians, and will do more to improve their lives when elected.
