Major General Kotia briefed the African Union Commissioner for Political Affairs, Peace and Security, Ambassador Bankole Adeoye, on the Commission’s initiatives. The Commission has constructed and rehabilitated infrastructure in border communities to enhance regional peace.

Major General Kotia appealed for budgetary allocation to support the Commission’s strategic interventions. Ambassador Adeoye commended the Commission’s efforts and encouraged other AU member countries to work together for peaceful borders.

The AU assured its readiness to send a formidable delegation to observe Ghana’s December polls. The Ghana Boundary Commission ensures the effective securing and management of Ghana’s boundaries within the framework of International Law, Peace, and Security.
