London played host to a spectacular celebration as the Asante community marked a major milestone – the 25th anniversary of Otumfuo Osei Tutu II’s reign, coinciding with the Akwasidae festival. The event was a resplendent showcase of Asante culture, drawing a prestigious crowd and leaving a lasting impression on all who attended.

The celebration was graced by the presence of several distinguished dignitaries, including former President John Agyekum Kufuor, Ghana’s High Commissioner to the UK, Papa Owusu Ankomah, and various ministers of state. Executives from NPP-UK paid heartfelt respects to the esteemed guests.

Rapper Lousika, now known as Manso Nkwantahemaa, exuded grace and regality in her traditional attire, while notable appearances were also made by luminaries such as Dentaa, rapper Kojo Cue’s father, and actress Gloria Agyemang. The attendees dazzled in their exquisite kente outfits, transforming the event into a vibrant display of cultural pride.

The festivities were filled with the rhythmic beats of talking drums and the enchanting movements of Adowa dancers, weaving a captivating narrative of Asante heritage.
