Ghanaian Cocoa Farmers to Get GH₵ 41,288,689 Bonus For 2023/24 Crop Season

The Ghana Cocoa Board, in partnership with Touton-SA and Eliho Ghana Limited, is set to distribute GH₵ 41,288,689 to 47,240 cocoa farmers across 1,495 communities in 38 cocoa districts.
This payment is part of the 2023/24 crop season premiums.
Speaking at the announcement in Assin Fosu, Central Region, Touton Ghana’s Country Director, Ernest Dwamena, revealed that each household supplied an average of 16 bags of cocoa, earning a premium of GH₵ 1,088.48.
Additionally, GH₵ 10,000,000 has been allocated for community infrastructure projects to improve living conditions and boost local development.
To ensure transparency and accountability, payments will be made through the GCB digital payment platform, G-Money Financial Services (GMFS).
This method streamlines the payment process and enhances financial inclusion within farming communities.
Mr. Dwamena commended cocoa farmers for their contribution to the industry and the economy, reiterating Touton Ghana’s commitment to sustainable cocoa production.
The company pledges to deepen engagement with commodity-producing countries through improved processing operations and sustainable practices.
