The University of Cape Coast (UCC) has announced that there has been no termination of Prof. Johnson Nyarko Boampong’s role as Vice Chancellor.
Despite a letter from Prof. Harold S. Amonoo-Kuofi, Chairman of the University Council, suggesting otherwise, UCC has issued a statement to clarify the situation.
According to Major Kofi Baah-Bentum, the University’s Director of Public Affairs, the Council has not convened to make any such decision. The minutes from their latest meeting on July 30, 2024, show that discussions did not include the Vice-Chancellor’s tenure.
UCC urges both the university community and the public to disregard any conflicting reports.
