“The Kuami Eugene Look-Alike Thing Has Done a Lot for Me” – Steve Quamz

Steve Quamz, renowned for his resemblance to popular Ghanaian musician Kuami Eugene, has shared insights into the benefits and challenges of his career in the lookalike industry.

In a recent interview on Property FM in Cape Coast, Quamz, also known as ‘Rockstar Junior,’ spoke about the significant opportunities and recognition he has gained through his mimicry of the famous singer.

Quamz expressed his appreciation for the advantages the lookalike profession has afforded him. “As for the look-alike thing, if I should stand anywhere and say that it brought no benefits to me, then I would be telling lies because it has done a lot for me,” he remarked.

He also acknowledged the support and generosity of Kuami Eugene, who has permitted him to use his name and likeness. “I would like to extend profound gratitude to Kuami Eugene because not everyone will allow you to claim to be his lookalike and use his name like the way I did. The benefits from the lookalike enterprise have been enormous, and now when I’m outside, people recognize me through the lookalike, and they used to call me Rockstar Junior,” Quamz said.

Through his work as a lookalike, Quamz has managed to establish his own identity and brand. “I’ve been able to create my own identity as Steve Quamz through the lookalike, and most people know me as Kuami Eugene’s lookalike, so we can’t stop doing it,” he claimed.

Despite the success, Quamz highlighted the financial difficulties involved in maintaining the appearance of a high-profile celebrity. “Kuami Eugene is rich and wears quality clothes, so I can’t compare myself to him, but I do mine in such a way that it would look just like him though I can’t compete,” he explained.

Quamz added, “You know I’m not financially sound, so as for me, I buy the clothes from Kantamanto, but it’ll make me look just like Kuami Eugene nicely.”
