Manchester United are sweating on the fitness of new signing Leny Yoro after the defender was pictured on crutches and wearing a protective boot.
The 18-year-old suffered an injury during the first half of United’s pre-season defeat to Arsenal last weekend and was unable to put any weight on his foot as he left the pitch.
The club is still assessing the full extent of the injury, with manager Erik ten Hag not expected to provide an update until Thursday.
The news is a significant blow to the young defender, who only joined the club earlier this month in a £52m deal from Lille.
United face Real Betis in their next pre-season match on Wednesday before taking on Liverpool on Saturday.
