Death Threats Force Di Maria To Abandon Dream Return

Former Argentina winger Angel Di Maria has revealed that death threats against him and his family have forced him to abandon his dream of returning to boyhood club Rosario Central.

The 36-year-old, who retired from international football earlier this month, had planned to end his career at the Argentine club.

However, a series of terrifying incidents, including a death threat against his daughter, have made it impossible for him to return.

Di Maria described the ordeal as “horrible” and explained that the threats had caused immense distress for his family.

The former Real Madrid and Manchester United star has not reported the incidents to the authorities out of fear.

The shocking revelations highlight the severe security challenges faced by many Argentine footballers and their families.

Di Maria’s illustrious career has seen him play for some of Europe’s biggest clubs, including Real Madrid, Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain, Juventus, and Benfica.
