Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, Ghana’s Minister of Education, has revealed plans for a targeted recruitment of Senior High School (SHS) teachers. In a Facebook update on July 30, he stated that the recruitment will begin next week.
Dr. Adutwum encouraged interested candidates to stay informed about the application process and specific recruitment priorities.
He shared, “I’m excited to announce that a selective recruitment initiative for high school teachers is set to start next week. Please keep an eye out for further details on how to apply and the areas we will be focusing on.”
This announcement follows the Ministry of Health’s recent news about recruiting 15,200 nurses and midwives, starting August 5, 2024. According to a July 26, 2024 statement, the Ministry of Finance has provided the necessary financial authorization for this hiring process.
Applicants for the health positions are advised to use the Ministry of Health’s online portal to apply, with the deadline set for August 23, 2024.
The Ministry of Health has emphasized that the recruitment process is free of charge and cautioned against paying any fees to individuals or organizations promising to expedite the application.
