Long-serving Rangers defender Connor Goldson has brought his six-year spell at Ibrox to a close, signing a three-year deal with Cypriot club Aris Limassol.

The 31-year-old Englishman, a key figure in Steven Gerrard’s Rangers side, made over 300 appearances for the Scottish Premiership club.

However, after missing the final seven games of last season, manager Philippe Clement confirmed that Goldson had received a concrete offer and would not feature in a recent friendly.

In a heartfelt social media post, Goldson expressed his sadness at leaving the club, stating, “It hurts to say goodbye to the Rangers fans.”
