The Ministry of Health (MoH) has made a significant announcement regarding the recruitment of healthcare professionals in the country. According to the statement released on Friday, July 26, 2024, the MoH will be recruiting a total of 15,200 nurses and midwives, effective Monday, August 5, 2024.
This recruitment drive is a major boost to the healthcare sector, which has been facing challenges in terms of staffing and workload. The Ministry of Finance (MoF) has granted the necessary financial clearance for the recruitment process, paving the way for the MoH to move forward with the hiring of these critical healthcare professionals.
The recruitment process will be conducted online, through the MoH’s application portal, where interested and qualified candidates can submit their applications. Applicants will have the opportunity to select their preferred agency under the Ministry, allowing them to choose where they would like to work.
The application period will be open for a period of three weeks, closing on Friday, August 23, 2024. The Ministry has emphasized that the recruitment process is entirely free, and applicants are warned not to pay any fees to individuals or entities claiming to facilitate the process.
This warning is aimed at protecting applicants from potential scams and ensuring a fair and transparent recruitment process. By recruiting these additional nurses and midwives, the MoH aims to strengthen the healthcare system and improve the delivery of healthcare services to citizens.
