Controversial actress Efia Odo has publicly apologized to Stonebwoy, admitting that her previous criticisms of the artist were inappropriate and disrespectful.
In her outspoken support for King Promise during the TGMA Artiste of the Year awards, Efia Odo had directed criticism towards Stonebwoy and the awards board. She had suggested that Stonebwoy, being an established artist, should facilitate opportunities for emerging talents in the industry.
Reflecting on her remarks, Efia Odo acknowledged that her comments, which included labeling Stonebwoy as “old” and questioning his accomplishments, were out of line.
“When I am a fan of someone or my friend, I go hard for that person. I was rooting for King Promise and in the process, I spoke ill on his [Stonebwoy] name in public, so I will apologize in public,” she stated.
Efia Odo further explained that her delay in issuing an apology was due to her recent absence from the public and television.
She emphasized that she never intended to disrespect Stonebwoy, a senior figure in the industry.
“What I wanted to say is I see him to be bigger than VGMA, I see him beyond the Ghanaian industry, and I wish he gets to where we know he is supposed to be,” she added.
Taking full responsibility for her actions, Efia Odo assured that her apology is heartfelt and genuine, not prompted by external pressure.
