The Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC) has made a significant announcement regarding Hyundai Infracore’s decision to establish a distribution hub in Ghana. Hyundai Infracore, a Korean-based manufacturer, has chosen Ghana as its strategic location for serving the Western and Central African markets.
The company’s decision was influenced by Ghana’s political stability and safety, which are essential factors for business operations. Ghana was selected alongside Nigeria, Senegal, and Cote d’Ivoire as key distribution hubs for Hyundai Infracore’s products.
As a new entrant in the African market, Hyundai Infracore aims to provide prompt equipment delivery and aftersale services to its clients across the continent. The company plans to establish an assembly plant in Ghana, in partnership with a technical university, to facilitate skills and knowledge transfer.
This partnership will also create job opportunities for the youth in Ghana, contributing to the country’s economic development. Hyundai Infracore is a subsidiary of HD Hyundai Group, a global producer of container vessels, chemical and construction power plants.
The establishment of Hyundai Infracore’s distribution hub in Ghana is expected to boost the country’s economy and enhance its reputation as a favorable business destination. The GIPC’s announcement highlights Ghana’s attractiveness to foreign investors, thanks to its stable political environment and safety.
