Vanessa Azoumaro has achieved a remarkable feat by setting a new Guinness World Record for the longest video game marathon on the Ghost of Tsushima series.

Azoumaro, a third-year Social Work student at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), played for an impressive 56 hours, 30 minutes, and 43 seconds, surpassing her original goal of 48 hours. The record-setting session concluded precisely at 5:30 am on Monday, July 29, 2024.

The marathon took place at the Airport View in Kumasi SG Mall, where Vanessa was supported by friends and well-wishers. A dedicated monitoring team was present to ensure the attempt’s integrity and adherence to Guinness World Record standards.

With this achievement, Azoumaro not only secures a place in the record books but also inspires others to pursue their own ambitious goals with tenacity and resilience. She now awaits verification and confirmation of her record attempt by the Guinness World Record team.
