Dr. Julian De Silva, a facial plastic surgeon at London Facial Plastic Surgery, explains how the ratio is used to identify the most appealing face features. “We use digital mapping to study facial aspects like eyes, lips, and nose, and then set these against the Golden Ratio to determine the most pleasing features,” he said.
Using specialized software, Dr. De Silva’s team analyzes face photos, measuring aspects like the gap between the nose, eyes, and lips, and matches them against the Golden Ratio to gauge their similarity.
