Ghana’s Olympic team will make a bold fashion statement at the 2024 Paris Olympics opening ceremony by wearing traditional ‘fugu’ attire.
The team aims to use this platform to highlight the rich and diverse Ghanaian culture to a global audience.
In addition to the fugu, the athletes will be paired with black down jackets and special footwear. Due to the unique setting of the ceremony on the River Seine, only five Ghanaian athletes will be present to represent the country and hoist the national flag.
This year’s opening ceremony promises to be a spectacular event as it marks the first time the procession will take place outside a stadium.
The iconic River Seine will serve as the backdrop for the event, with millions expected to tune in worldwide.
