Mrs. Samira Bawumia, the wife of Vice-President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has made a passionate appeal to Ghanaians to vote for her husband in the upcoming December 7 polls. She believes Dr. Bawumia has the qualities and leadership skills to drive Ghana’s progress and rapid development.
Speaking to the Chief and people of Poase-Cement, a farming community in the Kadjebi District of the Oti Region, Mrs. Bawumia highlighted her husband’s focus, humility, honesty, creativity, and ability to deliver on his promises.
She emphasized Dr. Bawumia’s commitment to youth development, citing his plan to employ one million youths in the ICT sector. This, she believes, will empower young people and drive Ghana’s growth. Mrs. Bawumia also endorsed Mr. Mustapha Tassah, the NPP Parliamentary Candidate for Akan Constituency, urging voters to elect him as their MP. She believes Tassah will partner with Dr. Bawumia to bring more development projects to the Constituency.
Mr. Evans Yaw Dapaah, NPP Oti Regional Chairman, also addressed the gathering, highlighting the party’s achievements in the region. He mentioned the construction of the 66.4 km Jasikan-Dodo Pepesu asphalt road and Agenda 111 Hospital projects in Kadjebi, Jasikan, and Chinderi. Dapaah urged voters to critically examine the NPP’s track record and vote for Dr. Bawumia as President and Tassah as MP for Akan Constituency.
Mr. Mustapha Tassah, the NPP parliamentary candidate, emphasized that voting should be based on performance, not party symbols. He argued that the NPP government has developed the Constituency more than any other party. Tassah claimed that NDC MPs for the Constituency have nothing tangible to show for their tenure, except for the late Independent MP, Rashid Bawa, whose records are still visible.
He called on the electorate to vote for him based on his ability to deliver results, citing the NPP’s track record in the Constituency. Mrs. Bawumia, Dapaah, and Tassah all urged voters to support Dr. Bawumia and Tassah in the upcoming polls, promising more development and progress for Ghana and the Akan Constituency.
