President Nana Akufo-Addo has expressed his delight over the success of the 13th African Games, held in Ghana from March 8 to 23, 2024.
The event, which welcomed over 13,000 athletes and officials from across Africa, saw Ghana clinch an impressive 69 medals.
During a meeting with the Local Organizing Committee at Jubilee House, Akufo-Addo shared his excitement and appreciation for their hard work and dedication.
He noted that he has received congratulatory messages from fellow African leaders, including Moussa Faki Mahamat, President of the AU Commission, who highlighted the Games’ positive impact on the continent’s image.
The LOC Executive Chairman, Dr. Kwaku Ofosu-Asare, thanked Akufo-Addo for his commitment and support throughout the event’s planning and execution.
