Finance Minister, Dr. Mohammed Amin Adam, has announced that the government has allocated GHȼ5.4 billion to support key social programs since January 2024, aiming to alleviate the burden on vulnerable citizens.
These programs include the Livelihood Empowerment Against Poverty (LEAP) initiative, the School Feeding program, the Capitation Grant, and the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS).
Additionally, Dr. Amin Adam revealed that GHȼ1.5 billion has been disbursed to support 1,488,575 students under the Free Senior High School (SHS) program between January and June 2024.
