Nigerian disk jockey, Florence Otedola, popularly known as DJ Cuppy, has announced the death of her maternal grandmother. In a statement on her social media handle, DJ Cuppy expressed comfort in knowing her grandmother is now “in heaven”.
“I’m finding comfort knowing she’s in heaven, looking down on us with love. What a life she lived!” she wrote. “I’m so grateful for the way she shaped my mum, who then shaped me. I’m praying for my family during this sudden season of change, but we already know that our God is good all the time.”
DJ Cuppy also shared a heartfelt tribute to her grandmother, saying “Grandma Kaduna, your spirit lives on, guiding and comforting us #RIP”.
In related news, Temi Otedola, DJ Cuppy’s sister, celebrated singer Mr Eazi’s birthday with a heartfelt message, addressing rumors of their secret marriage. Temi shared a charming photo of Mr Eazi and wrote: “Celebrating you today + every day!!! Happy birthday to my forever person, my favorite person, my soon-to-be oko.”
Temi also reflected on their eight-year relationship, expressing how Mr Eazi has changed her life. “My entire life changed when I met you. Over the last 8 years, you’ve inspired me, supported me, and continuously shown that you are the kindest soul I’ve ever come across. I’m so excited to spend the rest of your birthdays right by your side.”
