A Plus Responds To Afia Akoto’s Defamation Lawsuit With Cryptic Posts

Popular commentator and politician Kwame A Plus has addressed recent developments on social media following the filing of a defamation lawsuit against him by Afia Akoto. In the summons issued on Tuesday, 16 July 2024, Afia Akoto detailed the allegations she has levied against A Plus, accusing him of deliberately making statements aimed at damaging her reputation and inciting public disapproval.

Responding to the viral circulation of the summons and ensuing reactions, A Plus took to his social media platforms to issue what appeared to be indirect responses to his critics. “The son of a Fulani man cannot be intimidated with a cow’s horn,” he cryptically posted. Additionally, he seemed to criticize the legal representation involved in the case, stating, “Look at the lawyer who took the case! Show me your case and I’ll show you your lawyer. Such lawyers, they are clueless. They don’t know the difference between exit and entrance. Go and defend your foolishness first!”

In subsequent posts, A Plus continued to challenge those against him, maintaining his stance on the matter.

Background to the issue reveals that A Plus previously alleged Afia Akoto’s involvement in attempts to initiate sexual encounters with Maxwell Mensah, husband of popular actress Nana Ama McBrown. He claimed Afia had sent explicit photos to Maxwell in an effort to seduce him, but he intervened to prevent their release. A Plus criticized Afia for what he termed ingratitude and warned her about potential repercussions. “If I resend the photos to you, you’ll shout ‘blood of Jesus!’ Ungrateful fool! Love yourself more than your party. Choose your battles wisely, or they will overwhelm you! Have you ever seen such foolishness before?” he added.

The unfolding situation continues to attract public interest and scrutiny as both sides prepare their legal strategies.
