Kylian Mbappé’s mother, Fayza Lamari, has suggested the star player is prepared to sue his former club Paris Saint-Germain over unpaid bonuses and wages.
According to Lamari, PSG owes her son a significant sum, including an €80 million bonus and two months of unpaid salary from 2024.
Mbappé, now 25, left PSG this summer as a free agent after his contract expired and joined Real Madrid on a long-term deal.
Lamari expressed hope that PSG will honor the agreement signed two years ago, highlighting the secretive nature of negotiations often held solely between Mbappé and PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi.
She emphasized Mbappé’s commitment despite the financial dispute, pointing out that he continued to perform professionally after announcing his departure in February.
Reports suggest PSG might be withholding the payment to offset the cost associated with Mbappé’s departure, which Lamari claims was agreed upon earlier.
Drawing a parallel to a separation, Lamari stated that decisions are now in the hands of Mbappé’s representatives. She expressed hope for an amicable resolution, acknowledging disagreements are common but can be resolved.
While Mbappé’s future lies with Real Madrid, Lamari insists he doesn’t regret his decision to extend his PSG contract two years ago.
