Nigerian rapper and activist Falz The Bhad Guy has denied any romantic involvement with fellow singer Simi. In a recent interview with Hip TV, Falz clarified that their relationship is purely musical and described Simi as “family.”
Falz recounted how he first reached out to Simi in 2013 or 2014 after hearing her breakthrough song “Jamb Question.” He expressed admiration for her talent and proposed a collaboration, which led to their first joint project. “We went on to do it, shot the video, and from then onwards, every other track was so natural. She’s family, we really clicked musically, and we just had to explore that. It was beautiful,” Falz said.
The two artists have since collaborated on several projects, including Simi’s recent song “Borrow Me Your Baby” from her album “Lost And Found.”
Previously, Simi revealed that people often assumed she and Falz were dating due to their musical chemistry. However, Simi is married to singer Adekunle Gold, and the couple has a child together.
