Two people have tragically died in the Agona Amponsah farming community, Central Region, after being bitten by mysterious insects.
The tiny black flyers have caused fear and panic among residents, who are now avoiding their farms.
Initially, residents suspected the insects might be linked to Dengue fever.
However, medical examination ruled that out. The report describes the insects as injecting a poison that causes victims to feel cold within seconds.
Frightened residents are pleading with the Municipal Chief Executive, Evans Onomah Coleman, to take immediate action. They’re requesting a fumigation exercise to control the insect infestation.
