President Akufo-Addo has announced that the government’s Agenda 111 Hospital Projects will generate approximately 67,000 jobs upon their completion.
Emphasizing the project’s importance, President Akufo-Addo highlighted that each hospital, capable of employing over 100 people, signifies Agenda 111 as a transformative initiative.
Speaking at the commissioning of the Adansi North Hospital in Fomena, Ashanti Region, President Akufo-Addo reiterated the government’s commitment to finishing the hospitals.
“There is an average of 120 workers on each construction site, and upon completion, district hospitals will employ an average of 559 individuals, regional hospitals 1,343, and psychiatric hospitals 947. This translates to employment for 67,635 people across the Agenda 111 Hospitals,” President Akufo-Addo affirmed.
The Agenda 111 hospital project, a flagship initiative of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government, aims to significantly improve healthcare accessibility nationwide.
Meanwhile, President Akufo-Addo has inaugurated the 120-bed Fomena Hospital project in the Adansi North District of the Ashanti Region, marking the conclusion of prolonged delays in its completion.
Initially launched in 2014, the project encountered several postponements due to funding challenges, raising concerns among residents of the Adansi Traditional Area who urged authorities to ensure its timely delivery.
During the inauguration ceremony, President Akufo-Addo underscored that the hospital’s completion demonstrates the government’s commitment to providing modern healthcare facilities aligned with current standards across the country.
