Billie Eilish to Read CBeebies Bedtime Story

Singer Billie Eilish is set to read a CBeebies bedtime story, choosing Oliver Jeffers’ book “This Moose Belongs to Me”. The 22-year-old American artist, who recently released her third studio album “Hit Me Hard and Soft”, expressed her love for bedtime stories as a child.
Eilish introduces the story by sharing her passion for nature, alongside her love for music. She tells the tale of a young boy named Wilfred, who claims ownership of a big moose named Marcel. Eilish emphasizes the importance of respecting wild creatures like Marcel, allowing them to thrive in their natural habitats.
The singer fondly recalls her own childhood love for bedtime stories, stating, “My favourite thing in the world as a child was a bedtime story, and I would be upset if I didn’t get one! I had a lot, and I loved them all!”
Oliver Jeffers, the author of the chosen book, expressed his excitement about Eilish reading his story. He highlights the book’s theme of human relationship with nature and praises Eilish as a champion of environmental awareness.
Eilish has achieved immense success since her debut single “Ocean Eyes” at just 14 years old. She has won numerous awards, including the Oscar for Best Song for “What Was I Made For?” from the Barbie soundtrack.
Other notable music stars who have read CBeebies bedtime stories include Sir Elton John, Ed Sheeran, Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Gregory Porter, Dave Grohl, Dolly Parton, and Christine and the Queens.
Billie Eilish’s bedtime story will air on Friday, July 19th on CBeebies and BBC iPlayer.
