Ghanaian midfielder Princess Marfo is buzzing with excitement for her first-ever appearance with the Black Queens this weekend.

The Bay FC player received her maiden call-up for the upcoming friendly match against Japan, scheduled for Saturday, July 13th.

Marfo, a product of the Right to Dream Academy, first caught the eye of Black Queens head coach Nora Hauptle two years ago. Now, she’s finally getting her chance to shine on the national stage.

Marfo has been integrating seamlessly with the team throughout the week’s training sessions. She’s committed to giving her all whenever she gets the opportunity to step onto the pitch.

“It’s an honor to join the Queens for the first time,” Marfo told the Black Queens media team. “The environment has been fantastic, and the other players have been very welcoming. I can’t wait for the game against Japan on Saturday. I’m determined to give my best every day on the field and represent my country proudly.”

The Black Queens will face Japan at the Go Go Curry Stadium, with kickoff set for 6:20 am. All eyes will be on Marfo as she looks to make a memorable debut for Ghana.
