Ghanaian forward Raymond Asante is heading to Belgium! The 20-year-old will join RC Sporting Charleroi on a season-long loan from Udinese Calcio in Italy’s Serie A.
Asante impressed last season, scoring 21 goals and adding 12 assists to help Udinese’s U19 team win promotion to the Primavera 1 league. Now, he’ll get a chance to prove himself in Belgium’s top division, the Jupiler Pro League.
This loan deal gives Asante a valuable opportunity to gain experience at a professional level. Charleroi will be hoping his goal-scoring prowess translates to success on the bigger stage.
Asante was a standout performer for Udinese’s youth side last season as he powered the club’s U-19 side to promotion to the Primavera 1.
The forward had an exceptional season, notching an impressive tally of 21 goals while adding up 12 assists across all competitions.
The Ghanaian has been training with Charleroi for pre-season ahead of the official signing of the deal.
