- Stress from Diddy's legal issues may be a contributing factor, sources speculate
Janice Combs, the mother of entrepreneur and entertainment mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs, has been hospitalized due to chest pains, according to a report from TMZ. She was admitted to a South Florida hospital on Wednesday and is expected to remain there for at least another day, undergoing tests to determine the cause of her condition.
Diddy has been by his mother’s side at the hospital, sources close to the family confirm. The exact nature of Janice Combs’ condition is not yet clear, but sources speculate that stress related to her son’s recent legal issues may be a contributing factor.
Diddy has been facing mounting legal problems, including a federal investigation reported by NBC News last week. Additionally, the Bad Boy Records founder has been attempting to sell his Los Angeles mansion for $70 million and has been dealing with the aftermath of federal raids on his properties in Miami and Los Angeles earlier this year.
The 54-year-old entrepreneur has also been facing allegations of assault, including a lawsuit from producer Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones and a widely publicized video showing him physically assaulting his former partner, Cassie. Diddy has since issued a statement taking “full responsibility for my actions” in the video, which has since been removed from his Instagram account.
Complex has reached out to Diddy’s representatives for comment on his mother’s hospitalization.
