Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia, the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), asserted that he has spearheaded numerous development initiatives in northern Ghana, particularly in Chereponi.
He questioned the accomplishments of former President John Mahama in the region, highlighting a lack of significant projects initiated during Mahama’s tenure.
Bawumia emphasized his achievements as vice president, contrasting them with Mahama’s track record. He stated that despite not having held the presidency, he has initiated multiple impactful projects in Chereponi.
Addressing community leaders in Chereponi, Bawumia expressed confidence in his ability to accomplish even more if elected president.
“In this upcoming election, my primary opponent, former President John Dramani Mahama, previously held the presidency. However, during his term, he failed to initiate notable projects in Chereponi. As vice president, I have overseen the implementation of several initiatives here, and as president, I am committed to completing many more,” Bawumia affirmed.
