Bamako, the capital of Mali, is facing flight disruptions due to a fuel shortage.

The Malian Ministry of Transport has advised airlines to refuel elsewhere until next week, July 15th.

The limited fuel stock is attributed to a recent increase in flight operations. Airlines serving Bamako, including Turkish Airlines and Ethiopian Airlines, are likely to be affected.

The National Civil Aviation Agency has requested regional air traffic control agency ASECNA to notify airlines about the temporary unavailability of Jet A1 fuel, a type of kerosene used in commercial aviation, at Bamako’s Modibo Keita-Senou International Airport.
