Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, leader of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has urged Ghanaians to assess the tangible effects of both major political parties’ policies on their lives when casting their votes in the upcoming 2024 elections.

During a campaign stop at Gbintiri in the Nalerigu/Gambaga constituency, Dr. Bawumia emphasized the importance of evaluating the NPP government’s initiatives over the past seven and a half years. He encouraged voters to compare these achievements with those of their main rival, the National Democratic Congress (NDC), ahead of the December elections.

“The success of a government lies in how its policies and programs impact the average Ghanaian,” Dr. Bawumia remarked. He highlighted initiatives such as Free SHS, mobile money interoperability for banking services, and the use of drones for medical deliveries to remote areas as examples of the NPP’s commitment to improving livelihoods.

“We in the NPP have a vision and the capacity to transform Ghana, unlike our opponents who focus on trivial matters,” he added, referencing past controversies. Dr. Bawumia underscored the NPP’s track record in northern Ghana, citing developments in infrastructure, education, healthcare, and more.

Looking ahead, Dr. Bawumia expressed confidence in the groundwork laid by the Nana Akufo-Addo administration, promising further enhancements in business support, healthcare, education, and overall quality of life under his leadership.

During his campaign tour in the North East Region, Dr. Bawumia engaged with traditional leaders and community members, outlining his party’s commitments and gathering feedback from stakeholders.
