Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer, hosted an event for widows in Bunkprugu, North East Region, on Wednesday, July 10.
The ceremony drew hundreds of widows and NPP supporters, all in good spirits.
During the gathering, Dr. Bawumia declared the kickoff of his constituency-to-constituency campaign, starting in his hometown region. He expressed readiness to advocate for his vision and policies aimed at advancing the nation.
Dr. Bawumia underscored his commitment to championing initiatives beneficial to the entire country, outlining his aspirations for development across various sectors. He urged widows to support his candidacy in the upcoming election, promising policies aimed at enhancing their lives if elected president in 2025.
“I am deeply moved and grateful to be with you tonight as the Presidential Candidate of the New Patriotic Party for the 2024 presidential elections. Today marks the beginning of my campaign in every constituency, and I chose to start at home, which is why I am here with you today.”
“I am your son and your husband, and I therefore seek your support so that I can assist you when I become the President of Ghana in 2025,” he stated.
