Manchester United’s £50m Bid For Branthwaite Rejected By Everton

Story Highlights
  • Man Utd attempt to sign young defender Jarrad
  • Everton value Branthwaite closer to £70 million
  • The 22-year-old impressed last season

Manchester United’s attempt to sign young defender Jarrad Branthwaite has hit a snag, with Everton rejecting their latest offer of £50 million ($64 million).

Sources close to the situation inform ESPN that Everton value Branthwaite closer to £70 million.

The 22-year-old impressed last season, even earning a senior England debut. Although he missed out on the Euro 2024 squad, Branthwaite’s potential has attracted United’s attention as they look to strengthen their defense.

This is the second offer United has made for Branthwaite. Their initial bid of £35 million with add-ons was rejected last month.

Everton, despite recent player sales to meet financial regulations, are unwilling to budge on their valuation.

It’s worth noting that any transfer fee for Branthwaite would include a 15% sell-on clause going to his former club, Carlisle United.
