Renowned American singer and songwriter Kanye West has revealed his plans to retire from professional music. The news was made public through a private conversation with fellow rapper Rich The Kid, which was later shared on social media.
When Rich The Kid attempted to persuade West to reconsider his decision, West expressed uncertainty about his next steps, stating, “I am retiring from professional music. Not sure what else to do.”
Rich The Kid responded, “Retire? Why? How? The people need you. The music needs you, TY [Dollar $ign], and we have made was the biggest stamp in culture to this date in 2024. Drop Ye about mine & V2 and we do it all over again. The kids need you, big bro. Fashion maybe, some time to chill, but retiring, ain’t it.”
Throughout his illustrious career, West has been celebrated for his innovative musical styles and numerous accolades. He began as a producer in Chicago, gained recognition for his work on Jay-Z’s ‘The Blueprint,’ and later released his critically acclaimed debut album ‘The College Dropout’ in 2004. With 24 Grammy Awards, West is now one of the most awarded hip-hop artists in history, tied with Jay-Z.
