Former Liverpool striker Roberto Firmino has embarked on a new chapter in his life, alongside his wife Larissa Pereira.
The Brazilian couple were recently ordained as pastors in their hometown church, Manah Church, which they co-founded three years ago.
Firmino announced the momentous occasion on social media, calling it “a memorable and unforgettable night.” He expressed his gratitude for witnessing “all that the Lord has done” in establishing the church.
This shift reflects a deep spiritual awakening in Firmino’s life. He describes a powerful encounter with Christ that ignited a passion to share his faith. “Since then,” he said, “a longing burns in our hearts to spread divine love.” Firmino sees his new role as both a “craving” and a “responsibility” to serve God and his community.
While renowned for his footballing achievements with Liverpool – including Champions League, Premier League, and FA Cup titles – Firmino remains an active player.
Currently with Saudi Arabia’s Al-Ahli, he shows no signs of slowing down on the pitch. At 32, Firmino embraces a unique path, combining athletic prowess with spiritual leadership.
