Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the presidential candidate for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), asserted his role as Ghana’s most impactful vice president since independence during the unveiling of his running mate, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh (NAPO), in Kumasi.
Highlighting his record of achievement, Dr. Bawumia pointed to bipartisan recognition of his tenure’s effectiveness, contrasting it sharply with the vice presidency of John Mahama from the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
He emphasized that while Mahama faltered in his role, he has demonstrated exceptional leadership and progress as vice president.
Dr. Bawumia framed the upcoming 2024 election as a pivotal choice between continuing forward momentum or regressing to past shortcomings, underscoring his credentials as a visionary leader poised to lead Ghana into the future.
“In comparing my record to others, it’s clear: since independence, there has been no more hard-working vice president than myself,” Dr. Bawumia asserted confidently.
