Asante Kotoko have secured the signing of midfielder Emmanuel Antwi on a free transfer. The 24-year-old joins the club on a three-year contract after passing a medical examination in Kumasi.

Antwi impressed in his previous two seasons with Great Olympics. Last season, he made a significant contribution with 6 goals and 5 assists in 26 league appearances.

Speaking to the club’s media team, Antwi expressed his delight at fulfilling a lifelong dream. “I’m thrilled to be here,” he said. “Playing for Kotoko has always been a childhood dream of mine. I’m excited to wear the jersey and contribute to the team’s success. Knowing some of the current players will ease my settling-in process and allow me to focus on what lies ahead.”

Antwi becomes Kotoko’s third signing this transfer window, following the arrivals of Sudanese forward AbdoelRahman Yoouef Yagoub Hay Alwady and left-back Esmat Hassabalbagi from Al Hilal. Both Sudanese players signed season-long loans with the option for permanent deals.
