Nigerian singer Bella Shmurda has expressed reservations about collaborating with his controversial colleague, Portable, due to the latter’s history of controversies.
Despite acknowledging their potential sonic chemistry, Shmurda is wary of associating with Portable, who has been embroiled in several high-profile feuds, including a recent online dispute with Davido and Zlatan Ibile.
In an interview with Max FM, Shmurda stated, “I feel me and Portable will blend on a song, but I am not ready for wahala [problem] right now.”
This comes as Shmurda has also expressed gratitude to Olamide, credited with contributing significantly to his musical career.
In a separate interview on the London 90 podcast, Shmurda praised Olamide, saying, “If my children asked who helped me, I would mention Olamide before my mother.”
He also commended Olamide’s support for African award shows, noting that many Nigerian singers prioritize attending the Grammys over the Headies Award.
