EIB Network Clears Serwaa Amihere of Misconduct in Viral Video Scandal

A recent video featuring GHOne Television presenter Serwaa Amihere sparked widespread speculation on social media, prompting an investigation by EIB Network, the owner of GHOne TV. The video, which circulated online, showed Amihere with a man identified as Henry Fitz, leading to rumors that it was filmed in 2019, before Fitz’s marriage.

EIB Network conducted a private investigation into the circumstances surrounding the video’s release and has cleared Amihere of any misconduct. In a press release dated July 5, 2024, the network stated, “At the end of a thorough and impartial investigation, the committee found no form of misconduct or breaches on the part of Serwaa Amihere in the circulation of the said video.”

The network has committed to cooperating with authorities to ensure justice is served, as the Ghana Police Service has filed charges against three individuals accused of sharing the intimate video. Amihere has apologized for the incident, confirming that the video was taken five years ago and acknowledging that she had “underestimated” her influence and potential at the time.

In a statement on her X account, Amihere expressed regret for the embarrassment caused to her family, employers, loved ones, and the businesses and brands she represents. She added that she has learned valuable lessons from the experience.
