Archbishop Nicholas Duncan-Williams, founder of Action Chapel International, has issued a stern warning to Ghana’s political parties and electoral stakeholders.
Archbishop Duncan-Williams emphasized the critical importance of ensuring the upcoming 2024 elections truly reflect the will of the Ghanaian people.
During a sermon delivered on Sunday, July 7, 2024, Archbishop Duncan-Williams underscored the pivotal role of the 2024 elections in determining the future of Ghana’s democracy.
He cautioned against any attempts by political parties or electoral officials to manipulate the election outcome, likening such actions to sparking unrest similar to recent events in Kenya.
The Archbishop urged both the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to uphold transparency and integrity throughout the electoral process.
He specifically warned against the use of illicit means, including bribery or spiritual manipulations, to influence the election results, predicting severe consequences for those involved.
As Ghana braces for a closely contested election between NDC’s John Dramani Mahama and NPP’s Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Archbishop Duncan-Williams stressed that the credibility of the 2024 elections will serve as a litmus test for the nation’s democratic principles.
