The General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Justin Frimpong Kodua, has praised Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh as a highly competent figure across various domains and a strong unifier.
On Thursday, July 4, 2024 the NPP National Council unanimously endorsed Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, also known as NAPO, as the running mate for Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia in the upcoming 2024 elections. The decision was made during a meeting attended by current executives, former General Secretaries, past chairmen, and other influential party members.
Frimpong Kodua highlighted Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh’s extensive experience and expertise, expressing confidence in his ability to effectively lead and deliver results for the party in the upcoming election.
Responding to criticisms of arrogance, Osei Bonsu Amoah, Deputy Campaign Manager for Parliamentary Elections and MP for Akuapim South, defended NAPO, attributing his success to humility and contrasting his political acumen favorably against his NDC counterpart, Prof. Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang.
